I'm looking at purchasing a 15hp 4-stroke Parsun to use on a 310 quicksilver airdeck and was wondering if their any good?

looking at the speck they give out 323cc the same as the mercury and mariner 15hp models but are 2kg lighter and £300 cheaper than mercury and mariner engines. are they still as reliable and as good for pulling knee boards?

I've never actually seen one of the engines or a dealership so dont know. They're new in the UK, made in China. New even to the world, becuase they have only been in production a few years. I just looked and the prices are much lower than the usual competition so it's either a great bargain or a pile of Chinese start up junk. Sorry that doesn't help you much...

They've been on sale in the US a few years so maybe google "parsun outboard problems" or suchlike. If they were no good it would probably written about on the net by now

there are a number of Parsun makers. Apparently a load of engineers walked out and took the drawing with them to start up in opposition.

Check the number of websites with combinations of Parsun, engine, outboard, marine, generator, etc.

It's like seeking the True Grail !
