hi all just been for a run out today,I normally have a tight berth next door
neighbour a yacht,not normally a problem getting back in but he had been lifted out and today with so much space had to have two goes to get in,you would think it would be easy with plenty of room but no hope he comes back soon.:eek::eek::eek:

despite 10 years of previous experiece,
learned a lot from the YM practical course last year

We moor stern-to in Mallorca and find it more difficult to approach our mooring position if the boats either side are missing.

Nothing to aim for i suppose.

Certainly agree with you about Close Handling Courses.

Done one with Mendez Marine . Well worth doing.

It's the same parking a car: at work I park in a space next to another Disco owner who is a "big lad" and needs a certain amount of swinging room. :eek: If he is there before me I reverse in with no difficulty. If neither he nor my other neighbour are there it's much more difficult to hit the white lines exactly right.
