I'm planning on spending a few days on the Deben next week. Granddaughter and boyfriend would like to join us, but where to leave their vehicle overnight?
Ramsholt apparently no longer possible, not sure about Waldringfield.
Maybe Bawdsey or Felixstowe Ferry.
Anyone tried this?

The parking area at Waldringfield is I think divided between the Waldringfield Sailing Club (the top bit) and the Maybush pub (the lower bit). Speak nicely to either party?

The new team at Woodbridge Boatyard (Eversons) are very agreeable and you might phone them and ask if you could leave a vehicle on their hard standing for a few days?

Bawdsey. free parking for ever on the road and I think also in the car park. Easy pick up in a dingy either from the shingle shore, or the ferry pontoon. Toilets with hot water and a cafe (if its open) What more could you want. If there are children involved probably at slake water high or low just for safety.

Thanks for all your replies. Bawdsey looks favourite then, I wasn't sure if anything had changed since my last visit.
Apparently there's a new regime at Ramsholt with a pay meter and 3 hours free to diners.
