In the spirit of praising companies when they exceed expectations, I am posting with my satisfaction at ICOM.

My radio went on the blink a couple of months ago.Its an outdated model and isnt made any more. Same with the base charger. Talked to ICOM at the boat show who advised sending it in.

Sent it off last week, returned today all repaired and the total repair bill ( including a lead for a 12v cigar lead) was £14 including carriage.

Very good service. :)

Ditto- At an RYA Muster at Cowes the ICOM guys wanted my old handheld -25+ years old -for their museum. I told them no as I quite liked it so they offered to check and overhaul it FOC. They took it with them and it turned up a couple of weeks later with a full test sheet and a glowing report on its performance. Top service at no charge.
