I just wondered...
I am thinking of installing a stove that has a seperate paraffin tank. Are there any safety rules I should be aware of when installing the tank?
I am thinking of installing it under the sink in a wood environment.... but somehow I guess everyone installs them in a similar place or is it better out in the open so that leaks or spills can easily be spotted and filling is easier.

Has anyone experienced any problems with these seperate paraffin tanks?

I had one for several years that fed a cabin heater. I never had any problem with it. As you say, you need to be able to fill it without spilling and room to be able to pump it. There is very little fire risk from the tank.
