A collection of humerous apochryphal tales of the master & crew of a Glasgow and West Coast puffer published between 1910 & 1920 in the Glasgow Evening news which has lightened my darkness, whilst being out of action. An interesting social document alsol

Agree with Searush that the short stories are an ideal length to get at least one in just before nodding off at night. Subtle, gentle humour. Best if you know the terrain up here to put the stories in context but still a great read.
Of course, they are not new and are well know to most Scots for years. You may also want to have a look at the Erchie stories from the same author.

There was a guy called - I think - Weegieboy, who uploaded all the Gregor Fisher episodes of Para Handy to you tube along with almost the entire BBC Scotland comedy unit productions for the last 30 years. I had them on my favourites, but his site has been closed by the BBc's copyright watchdogs.

Since they never produced the Gregor Fisher series on Video or DVD and the guy had copied them from his T.V. I thought they had a cheek stopping anyone from enjoying them given that they had no intention of making them available.
