Insurance renewal time:
Been with GJW for 12 years now - and been quite pleased with their policy/attitude.
Two claims were settled very smoothly and quickly.
However, I informed them that in the next year we might be moving the boat abroad (S Brittany) on a permanent basis.
Was advised that this would mean an increase in premium (Biscay).
So, I started asking around for other quotes. One of them was Pantaenius.
Policy looks good and more comprehensive.
However, larger excess and higher premium (much higher: as in several 100).
GJW: premium 0.7% of insured value - Pants: premium 1.2% of insured value.
So the question is: are they worth it?
What does Pants offer that GJW can't/won't?
