Another week...another list...All help and advice gratefully rcvd...
1. I have 2 blue wires comming out of the cockpit bulkhead into the cabin. I can't see or get too where they go on the other side....but when I attach one to the + and the other to the - battery, sparks fly...yet when I change the polarity (i.e. + on - and visa versa, no sparks) why? - and how do i establish what they are for?
2. The new calorofier is above the engine. how do i get around air locks etc?
3. I am resurfacing the galley with formica which i am finding hard to work with - particulary cutting it. It tends to split. Is there a better tool than the stanley knife?
4. I have tried to restore the Taylor stove (pressurised parafin) and had a bit of a fright lighting it! but seems to work ok now I have got he hang of it. One of the burners gives off a yellow flame - despite having new nozzles - any ideas?
5. The Taylors heater is a disaster - am thinking about taking it out - it lights and the flue gets red hot but thats about it i.e. very little heat from the unit itself? is that normal or should I expect more?
6. I have a baby blake WC - where is the best place to get spares - or should I just dump it and go for a modern plastic number?
