Not to be confused with AF on the outside, SWMBO would like the inside of the lockers painted. Currently whatever was in there (only had the boat a few months) is flaking and very annoying. SWMBO will no doubt choose the colour when I have decided the sort of paint. Help please!

I learned very quickly that Anything on my boat needing fixing (that means everything on the boat /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) gets fixed better, faster and cheaper if I fix it.

So I do all my own boat work.

And what do I hear from all the men of the opposite sex?? "But ... you're a GIRL!"

I need a comeback for this comment, but that is beside my current point. Your wife is part of the reason I need a comeback for that comment. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Tell her I said she needs to pick out her own paint, and prep and paint the lockers herself.

Ok , are you a fit girl ?

Yes, I'm thin and fit - I can do 30 push-ups and 10 palms-out pull-ups, how about you?? I'm also single and very good looking too, guys hit on me all the time. My boat is 42' and I single-hand him and dock him in my slip without any assistance.

I have been changing the oil on my cars for the past 15 years, know how to weld, have rebuilt most of the pumps on my boat, and know how to rebuild a fuel injector, how about you??? Last weekend I installed an isolation transformer, and this week I am choosing all the parts I need to rewire the entire AC system. (The DC system needs to wait until after I have rebuilt the engine.)

And I'm chemically sensitive so I don't do any painting or varnishing. Hey Tom, most of the varnish on my boat needs attention ... I'll buy you a plane ticket and a thong if you want to do it for me. Wearing the thong, of course. I truly am quite attractive, it will make for some good, Hard pictures for the YBW forum, if you are Up to it.

PS Jason, Baby, my nav station needs attention - I am sooo distressed that Tayana and the previous owners have all that silly AC and DC wiring and the breaker panel and communication and navigation instruments all so close together, sometimes I just tear tissue over it. Apparently none of them has a decent education in E & M and know about interference. Not only do I not paint or varnish, I don't do pretty woodwork either. So I won't tease you too much because maybe someday you'll be the one to rebuild my nav station? :-*

I don't know what Danboline is, but I need a case of it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif And some comebacks for these guys too.

[I don't know what Danboline is, but I need a case of it. And some comebacks for these guys too.]

Danboline is a high opacity bilge paint available in red & grey, made by international.
Blakes manufacture in more colours.
i use Blakes Gloss it gives good finish as one would expect + loadsa colours..
if your in the usa i would use any local good quality paint.

P.S. i have a thong in "Electric Blue" /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Thank God for that........... I was worried there that you may want to come and take all the fun jobs off me! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Oh and I think the thong bit is more in Brendans department as I would need a brazillian /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Well, we're glad to hear about your sensitivities - I was beginning to think you'd had a sensitivity bypass. What a relief!

Nice tone of post - you weren't inspired to this by the sight of our glorious leader groaning his rant all over your lovely congressmen and senators this week? Could you do us all a big "special relationship" favour - invite him down to your yard, take him out to sea on your him, make him see the light..?

Now look what you've done, no-one can stick to the topic and it's all about whether girls can keep up!
I'll have a look at the Danboline and other suggestions and also check out Macsalvors.
For Desertqueen my comeback is - why should she paint the lockers?

I'm never going to live that picture down! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Ahhh,my kind of woman.I do those things too,I mean push ups and injectors and what not.Wanna go out? There's so much in a oil change we could talk about...

Berger White Gloss. Cheap as chips and very robust. I did the inside of my grp tender in it and it survived outboards, tools oars etc.
White on the basis that it reflects light around so it's easier to see in the locker and any nasty leaks and insurgences are noticed easily.
