I have to renovate the deckhead lining on my boat, it is 4mm plywood panels screwed to timber blocks, when fitted the panels curve across the width of the deckhead. At present they are a teak faced and varnished which makes the cabin dark. I want to gloss paint them. what type of paint would the very knowledgeable panel suggest.
These days there seem to be very little difference costwise between marine paints and professional domestic paints, so I have considered
A domestic interior paint such as Dulux Trade oil based gloss
A domestic exterior paint such as Dulux Weathershield Trade Gloss or Sandex 10 year exterior gloss both oil based
A marine paint such as International or Hempel both oil based
The panel when painted will need to flex a little to take up the curvature of the deckhead
I would welcome your thoughts on the pros and cons of each type
