Painting Avons

Can't answer the first question, but I've just used the Starbrite fender/inflatable cleaner on my Avon - it worked a treat. Leaves a nice sheen.

Try Seamark Nunn & Co Tel: 01394-275327, they stock a Hypalon paint which can be used for exactly this purpose.

I used Hypalon on mine a few years ago, but can't say I was overly impressed, it didn't seem to hold that well. Now I use polyurethane (which doesn't have to be bought specially), touched up every three years it seems little worse.

Have to agree about the lack of satisfactory adhesion of hypalon paint, even when the surface was cleaned with tri-chlor-ethylene.

The 2-part epoxy was the best - polyurethane OK if touched up every year.

Why not try self-adhesive labels - these appear to be the most satisfactory - tho' i doubt you can now get Trike.
