Painting advice needed

Oh, disappointing, I thought BB’s post above re the temperature was made out of concern for my own health & wellbeing (mad dogs and Englishmen etc) but seemingly not. Actually it’s a good piece of advice which I hadn’t considered, moving Foula undercover isn’t an option but managing the painting to take advantage of morning or evenimg coolness should be possible..

Yes definitely worth considering. I put a GRP flat roof on my garage once and followed the instructions to the letter and it cured in about 5 minutes due to surface temp. Luckily we realised and managed not to completely screw it up ?

An update for anyone interested, we’ve been prepping the topsides for several days and today we got the first coat of primer on, there are one or two small areas which need further attention but all in all, I’m very pleased with the results. Second coat of primer going on on Tuesday. Using Perfection 2 pack which so far hasn’t been as difficult to use as I was advised it would be. Biggest problem has been with the 4” rollers disintegrating without warning.
