Painted an inflatable?

So having purchased a second hand RIB, the tubes didn't clean up as well as I had hoped and it still looks scruffy but at least in its current state, it's unlikely to
be nicked!

I see there are a paints available for both Hypalon and PVC and wondered if anyone had had any success -

I get inflatables in for repair that have been painted, never been impressed. A better (granted more expensive option) would be to skin over with new fabric. I've done this a few times and it can completely transform a boat. All depends what you're looking for really.

The Hammerite I accidentally dripped onto my inflatable several years ago is still there. So that would be my choice of paint!

And stop the tubes going sticky with UV if pvc.
Generally I find it's not the tubes that go sticky but more like things such as name/logo plates etc. Older boats that come to me for repair tend to have quite crusty and stiff tubes.

Hi there….. spotted your reply her: have you any idea where I’d find fabric to replace the bottom of my old Avon dinghy (which is otherwise in great nick) ? Thanks, Eamonn
