Paint to Greece

You don't say where abouts in Greece your boat is but if it is in the Athens area you could buy the paint locally at reasonable prices. There are several mail order discount chandlers in Athens. I have used www.marinastore.gr on several occasions. I bought an anchor windlass there cheaper than I could get it in the UK. They will also despatch to any of the islands, delivery will usually take 3-4 days. You can download their 300+ page catalog from the website.

In my experience, chandlers on the islands and in particular on Crete seem to add the date to the sale price!

Hope this helps.

That is interesting, what is the price you would pay in Lefkas for a 5 litre tin of self eroding anti-foul

I use Italian "Stoppani" (Stopmar) 5 ltrs this year will probably be around 120Euro .....but as other posters have said there are all the popular brands available and I agree that the locally produced "brown" stuff is cheap and effective, I dread to imagine what is in it though, would probably give the health and safety brigade over there in the UK nightmares
