many thanks for all the replies. you have been very helpfull. the paint used was "marine finishes' 2 pack urethane gloss product code MF/PU/100/WH. Does anyone know someone in the river thames (london area) who would be able sort this out for me at a reasonabel price thanks

When I bought my boat 3yrs ago in Spain she had been sprayed, on top of the original gel coat, at some time with 2 pack (Jotuns).
There was a similar prob, I suspect it was a case of the spraying being done when there was high humidity, so water is trapped under the non permeable 2 pack. Sounds like it may be a similar prob or maybe solvent entrapment.
It,s a bummer, only solution I think is take it off, thats what I am planning then I will do it again with enamel.
But I did have a Rival 32 (Tryval) sprayed with 2 pack,, hull and decks a few years ago and the result was magnificent.
