At the Northern Boat Jumble I tried to buy some Flow Coat. At every stand I was told not to use it, and go for a two-part International paint (which they didn't have). The only two-part Internationl paint I can find is Perfection. However, is this as thick as Flow Coat? I want to paint the inside of my wheel house so the imperfections in the glass fibres need to be covered.

Perfection is quite thin, expensive and I would say unnecessary for your use.

Why can't you just use polyester resin with a little pigment and filler (aluminium powder?) if you need to thicken it?

Use gelcoat resin with wax solution added.
CFS in Cornwall sold me mine I think. Just brush it on.

Funny a while back I set out to buy polyester resin and pigment and ended up being sold flowcoat. But we are a long way from UK.

The 2 pack polyurethane paints are really good but very thin. I don't know but I reckon they could respond well to having filler added. I would try microballoons. Perhaps keep looking for flow coat it is really good for what you want. olewill
