Did you manage to source a new starter tooth gear ( if it’s the generator I nearly bought?). I found one source but it was pricy.

A new ring gear was £220 next day delivery but I had a flywheel from another machine with a damaged keyway and taper so I destroyed that flywheel to get the ring gear off in tact then it was just a case of heating it to sweat it onto the flywheel on the good genny. The machine is like new, only has about 100 hours running. Im over the moon with it.

That’s brilliant. I didn’t have access to a spare flywheel and ring gear so the extra £220 made it challenging for me.

At £5k for a new one even buying a new ring gear it was still bargain of the century
