Do you have an aluminium toerail? If so, I would use ratchet straps to secure the dinghy to the deck. We use portable chocks to elevate the dinghy about 100mm clear of the deck. This allows water to run under the dinghy. It also means you dont introduce a toe stubbing appendage to the deck?
