Paddle Steamer Decking

Hi everyone, we're on p14 of PBO this month-the little paddle steamer in Cowes!
Just after some advice really on decking. Currently we have a yellow pine deck laid on a ply substrate which requires patching, and after next season relaying entirely. Is there a way to easily 'age' the new wood so as not to draw too much attention to it?

What about giving the old deck a light rub over with the sander to expose some fresh stuff. Should do the trick.

Clean/sand all the old stuff to match the new? If this is just to last the season then we have had some success with those coloured wood stains, just mix and test.

Depending on the individual type of wood, a strong ammonia solution usually darkens new timber.

Linseed oil will darken pine.
