Grr! Went on the drying blocks for a nice simple power wash and antifoul but looking underneath I got more than I bargained for!

One shaft bearing in the p bracket had probably 2mm of play, the other not so bad but needs doing. If that wasn't enough I noticed the head missing off one of the p bracket bolts into the hull. Wouldn't be the end of the world if it didn't mean taking up the cockpit floor and lifting out the 300 gallon fuel tank under to get to the other side of the bolts!

So silicone bronze bolts for the p bracket? Anyone got any good suppliers? I was thinking about changing the lot whilst I'm at it, who knows what condition the rest might be in.

I see ASAP Supplies offer brass and grp cutlass bearings. No idea which to go for, pros & cons?

Seaware or Anglia Stainless for your bronze bolts. Bronze P brackets normal to use brass shell cutless bearings.

The sleeve material for a rubber bearing makes little difference, non metal sleeves are normally used for Al bearing carriers.
