Oxalis acid

I get that stain from the water line up every few months. I put some oxalic acid in a spray bottle with water. I swim out to the boat and start spraying. I wear a swim mask and snorkel and try to keep back from the spray. No problems so far. The results are dramatic. Once I have gone around the small boat I start again to fix the spots I missed. I just splash it with salt water to wash it off. I used to buy oxalic as a stain remover (Diggers) but it seems it is not so easily available. The same company make a new stain remover (granules) but apparently it does not contain oxalic acid. Still works OK though. good luck olewill

As others have said, buy on eBay. But for FFS don't add wallpaper paste - it's perfectly effective as a 10% solution in water.. As it dries, it becomes more concentrated, then rinse off.

Well for the topsides whilst in the water, I must say that I have mixed/used it with wallpaper paste and fairy liquid many times, it just seems to adhere better and stay in contact/solution longer, rather than just a thin film spray that immediately runs down to the AF, the tint of colour lets you see where it's applied - obviously don't let it completely dry as Baggy has forewarned and thoroughly rinse off with a light scrub after, I did the whole starboard side of my F43 a few months ago, it worked great removing all staining above WL and some stubborn stains from some AC outlets......
