Oxalic Acid - Now that is good stuff

If you can't be faffed to get Oxalic acid, then Harpic (original) (from Pound shop) does the same job.

Almost any acid cleaner or descaler will probably remove the water line stain

Oxalic acid remains the most effective though for removal of rust stains.

I asked in Burnsco at Seaview Marina, Wellington NZ last week for Y10 or Oxyalic acid with no go.

They do, however, stock a Y10 sized Aussie product based on Phosphoric acid which they say does the same job. Phosphoric acid is the main active component of rust converters like Jellonite so it might be a substitute.

Anyone know of or have used Phosphoric acid preparations for waterline stains or rust streak removal?
