Oxalic acid for cleaning teak

Just in case Vyv does not have any photos, here is what Woodskin looks like on teak. Done this year, so don't know how it will last on this boat, but on my earlier one it lasted extremely well, but that was mainly on mahogany and iroko. It is not glass slippery like some varnishes but would not use it on teak decks, nor on internal teak flooring where Ronseal floor varnish is the choice. ideal for trim such as handrails, although horizontal surfaces (the bits that erode if left bare) need 4 or 5 coats then a rub down and top up every couple of years.

Nothing. Just clean it regularly, maybe once or twice a year with one of the oxalid based cleaners - I use Wessex. Patio Magic also useful to keep mould at bay. As you can see I have a cockpit cover as I did on my previous boat a modern Bavaria. well worth it for the winter. Tecsew made this one for me Bavaria Cruiser 33 Tonneau Cover, Zip attached to Sprayhood - Tecsew
Thanks again Tranona - you’ve put my mind at rest re: the cockpit gratings (I used Boracol, but having to switch to Patio Magic due to availability). But my rubbing strake and handrails could probably do with a little Woodskin love!
