Hoping to set off tomorrow on our little meander West from Chi harbour and back again, v excited.

So. Owers Lake, Southampton water. Nice, is it? Any comments? Like "It's too lovely for you, stay away", or "It's next to a power station, stay away", things of that ilk...

I guess you've seen this from the excellent Tightwad Sailor website (produced by a forumite)?

Depth shouldn't be a problem with bilge keels.....

Darn, but you guys are quick..!

Yup, I love the ol' tightwad sailor, we tried out some of his suggestions when we first arrived in the Solent. I was just wondering whether anyone else had any thoughts, really.

I once went there with a rally and it blew up a bit from the West. All the CQRs dragged and had to be rounded up before they sailed out into the main channel. Takes a proper Danforth to stick there.
