Overnight at bell weir

Taking SWMBO out tomorrow for dinner at Runnymede Hotel - does anyone know if we can overnight at Bell Weir lock? The hotel have said we can use their moorings, but they're not sure how deep their mooring is.

Want a plan B if we can't get into the hotel mooring.

Yep , speak to Dave at Bell Weir Lock. He may have space on the back moorings ( tranquil )

On the assumption that you own a fairly normal boat you will be fine.
Make sure your after spring is taught, as you will be in the wash pool from the lock.

Thanks for the replies - spoke to Rob the relief keeper, had to get his mobile from the waterways office as Bell Weir phone is stuck on fax mode apparently....

If you can get up the back ( by the weir ) its a very soothing place to spend the night , rushing water to send you off to sleep ...

There is plenty of depth at the hotels mooring, Can you check how much it is to moor there and let us know? Also look forward to reading your review as thinking of going there for my birthday

Stayed at the wier side of the tail lock many times & have enjoyed our stays no probles with mooring, coffee in the hotel is also good

Plenty of depth at the Runnymede Hotel mooring - had no problems with 4 foot draft.

Also, there is an EA 24 Hour mooring less than half a mile above Bell Weir on the port side heading upstream - just upstream of the boatyard and literally just a few minutes walk to the hotel.
