Overland Benodet to Brittany ferry Roscoff. Train, bus or taxi?

I need to get from the marina in Benodet to the Brittany ferry terminal in Roscoff on Sunday 7th July. Ferry leaves 15.00 so need to be Roscoff by 14.00 latest.

Any ideas on the best solution. Bus, train or taxi?

Have you considered flying?
There is a direct BA flight from Quimper to London City on Sundays (around 18H00 if memory serves).
Benodet to Quimper airport is about 15 mins by car/taxi.

What would you suggest? Im leaving the boat in Britany no doubt only for a couple of week in September, Where would you suggest as i'll be between Audierne Benodet morbihan areas?

Loctudy is very nice there is an early morning bus to Quimper and then it's a hike or cab to the train station. Benodet similar, of course.

Long cab rides tend to be rip off, ditto I am always wary of car hire.
The trains are good, fast and cheap. The distance covered is irrelevant. There is a bus from outside Morlaix station to Roscoff.

Book your ferry in advance on the internet or it will be dear.

I would favour Vannes. A delightful town, completely sheltered, good facilities, excellent staff in the marina, railway and bus stations, and you have the sheer joy of sailing through the Golfe du Morbihan to reach it.

Thank you all for your ideas. Taxis seem to be very expensive and work to the local rates which are extra on a Sunday plus return costs at around 1.75 per km, so close to 200 euros. One way car hire also over 240 euros and no body open on a Sunday. As the rest of the family party are arriving Wednesday morning on the ferry I am now looking at hiring a car with two named drivers. Leaving at Roscoff near the ferry terminal on Sunday afternoon, then the others can pick up Wednesday morning. Surprisingly the car hire for 4 days is around 135 euro!

If I go for the car hire option any ideas where best to leave an empty hire car on the street or parking near the Brittany Ferries terminal?

If you are planning to leave the car anywhere other than recognised parking facilities take out as much insurance as you can.

Follow the signs for the ferry terminal. As you turn off the D58, after about 150 yds you will see a right turn to the Pt de plaisance. drive down there a few yards, till you see the marina gate, turn right in front of the gate and right again. You will see a series of small free parking bays that are mainly used by marina people.
It's about 3 or 4 minutes walk to the ferry terminal.

PS,
Have a look on google earth there are a large number of free options in the area. I am temped to say; unlike our rapacious, overpopulated island .:(

Europcar quoted me 181 euros for the date you wanted to travel. As its closed on Sunday that's why I said to pick it up the previous afternoon.

There will be a place for returning hired cars and you can put the keys in a letterbox.
