Thanks everbody for the tips about my overheating Volvo 151. As initial thoughts pointed to the leg that was removed and all o rings and joints replaced. The inlet hose tested out to be ok. After all this still overheating but took a long time for temp to climb unless reving at 4k or above. Much investigation found the problem to be the water outlets of the exhaust manifold. All but one hole blocked. Cleaned and put back on and ok now. New manifold over the winter lay-up to be on the safe side.
