Overheating AD41P-A

Twice now I've had a really strange over heating problem with my stbd AD41P-A.

So on two dirfferent days...check strainer and it's full of water and clear...lift legs and they are clear.

Start engines all ok..go down the hamble and the stbd engine gets to normal temp quickly but stays ok.

Leave hamble..open up engines to 2900rpm and stb engine goes way over temp. Stop engine..find a spot to float about and check engine.

Again strainer is full and clear..legs are clear...start up two mins later and it's fine for the rest of the day.

Any ideas? The port engine is fine al of the time.

Bit of a long shot, but following on from your other post it couldn't be your crew are resorting to mutiny and skullduggery on your STBD engine .....

Could it be weed around the outdrives. I had a similar experience never found the cause but had just transited a weedy patch and went on the plan afterwards. Replace the impeller as a precaution and had no issues afterwards.
