Over Wintering on a Swinging Mooring

Interesting, but I guess that can happen to any boat on a swinging mooring whether it has a cover or not.

Bottom line is I think you need to tell Adrian you want to be somewhere a bit less exposed for the winter. Emsworth Channel has a longish fetch on the prevailing winds, and it can get pretty lumpy out there. But then I am biased. The only time I lost a boat was on a mooring in Emsworth, sunk by another coming adrift and fouling her in a bad winter storm.
