Oven Paint?

Any tips on a suitable paint for an aging oven door which is a bit rusty and peeling? It needs to be heat resistant and preferably not fill the boat with noxious fumes when it heats up - at least not after the first couple of times.

BBQ or Exhaust spray paint... from either halfords or your diy shop. Plasti-kote do a range of paints might want to google it.

On the outside, smooth hammerite. On the inside....well I'd try that there too but my oven has a SS liner. Do you really need to paint the inside of the door? Exhaust paint as a last resort.

Agree. I did mine with Smoothrite about 10 years ago. Still suviving well, no more deterioration.

If it's that old, does it have flame-failure protection on the burners. If not, you might be better off with a new oven.
