I need a new drop nose pin for my anchor securing arrangement. I looked around and was horrified by some prices. e.g. £14.10 plus postage from

However I then noticed pins with easy finger grips which were cheaper and looked good so phoned up to order one. A hasty discussion on the other end of the phone and they said they would send me one as a free sample in the post.

Assuming it arrives, they deserve some praise and recognition. I post at some risk as I am rather hoping the whole yachting community doesn't phone up asking for a free sample as well! Hopefully they will get some trade and stay in business for us all.

The new pin arrived today. First class post which actually got to Scotland as a next day delivery.

Very good service, ordered late Wednesday evening, arrived Friday morning.
Looks like a good bit of kit, the finger grip should make it easy to use and secure...time will tell, even with postage cheaper than the main chandlers.

They certainly live up to their name. I ordered one that wasn't in stock and had to be made up. It arrived the next day. Awesome
