Ok.... this is all I can find out about it:
It's run by the International Yachting Fellowship of Rotarians: Great Britain and Ireland -Sussex Fleet.
it's an outing for handicapped children, some in wheelchairs( No, you don't need a ro-ro boat!), with teachers/carers if needed.
Takes place on Friday 14th June, basically involves collecting the children by car (presumably locally ?) and taking them to your boat, either at Itchenor,Northney or Chichester Marina.
Cruising to East Head : anchor/raft up for lunch around 12.15....kids/carers bring their own food, you provide soft drinks.
You don't need a 50' boat to join in- as long as there's space for a child & a carer....come along.
Social evening at Chichester Yacht club that night (extra cost: £13-£15 for a nice meal).
I asked about those who due to tidal berths, can't leave in time for 12.15 : it seems that Northney (Chichester too maybe ?), are offering a reduced rate for us to keep the boats there overnight....(mind you - I'm sure John said it was only a 10% discount- Thanks MDL !.)
I've copied out a letter which gives a little more detail, from one of the organisers, John Blake- you can download it at http://www.windywoo.f9.co.uk/outing.doc
The application form is at http://www.windywoo.f9.co.uk/form.doc
Right, now you know as much as I do : It seems like a good day : we'll be there.
Any further questions....I'll try to help, but you may need to contact the organisers direct:numbers on the form/letter.
Who's coming then ?.
