Four outboards were stolen on Friday 24th August

-MARINA 30Hp GREY/MAROON WITH A RED STRIPE AROUND IT, THE ENGINE NUMBER IS 689L421306

-EUINRUDE 2Hp, THE ENGINE NUMBER IS B026706 AND IT IS WHITE OR SILVER (A LIGHT COLOUR)

Details of the other 2 will be posted when I get them.

Hi Matt, two of them were on Vyses and four from PCC, the one that was sank was colin's the artist, it's out now and will be on the mend soon.
They could not undo the secutity bolts so they used a winch from a tree and tore it off!

Please be aware if you store marine equipment in external workshops and garages - theft reported from a workshop on Whittlesey Road in March - large number of boat equipment and engines has been stolen including:

Honda 15HP LS electric outboard engine
Mercury 3.3HP LS outboard engine
Honda 2HP LS outboard engine
Min-Kotta Riptide 40LB Thrust outboard engine
Min-Kotta Riptide 50LB Thrust outboard engine

Garden equipment - two Stihl strimmers and a Stihl hedge trimmer

Crime currently being investigated but believed entry and exit may have been via a river towpath and a boat used.

Please be aware that thieves are operating in areas where engines are stored - we have now had several reports of engines being stolen so please be vigilent and if you are storing equipment outside in storage facilities think about upgrading locks - install security lighting - something as simple as a shed alarm could be a deterrent for a thief.
