Come on my little engine... Pull- yes! yes! yes! ....zoom off round the bay singing 'Halleluia' from Handels Messiah at the top of my voice, spend a good 1/4 hour at various revs, smooth as.

As you have got it going, just make a note to yourself about unleaded fuel.

It ages, and throws a gelatinous precipitate (=gunk) after a few months, which gums up all and sundry in modern outboards.

If doing again, use a funnel containing and old pair of tights, which will filter the gunk a treat.

Better still, get your other half to do it!

Hmm- used up the last of his black lacy stockings filtering diesel in Dartmouth.....

Better get on with the washing up and loo cleaning now, before I let all this mechanic stuff go to my head.
