does anyone know where I can get a manual for my Suzuki 4 stroke 4 hp outboard?

I want to do my own servicing including the tappet adjustment.Any tips also appreciated.

I use the motor on my Anderson 22 yacht ,so far (had it about 6 months)very pleased with it.plenty of manouvering power ahead and astern ,flat out about 5 knots in calm water.Flat out the 1.5 litre tank lasts 1hour 10 minutes(much better than the sailing today test report said)

The 6A charging coil keeps our 85 ah battery topped up nicely as we are very frugal with the lights etc.

Thanks in Advance Graham

Don't know if this will help, but I got my 'new' Mariner 9.9 4 stroke without a manual. It had been used once and was about 18 months old.

When it came to servicing, I found the torque setting on top of the bolts, and the rest of the servicing information was written around the engine.

Basically change the engine oil regularly, only holds about a quart, so I babied my, changing it every month or two if I was using it much. Change the gearbox oil once a year and set tappets. I'm sure the info will be available on here if it is not written on the engine. Also check the cylinder head bolts, which if they are anything like the Mariner are only little more than finger tight. Sometimes necessary to drop the leg and clean the waterways, although I didn't have to do this in the couple of years I had mine, despite a mussel growing in the tell tale. Usual visual checks of course, and even a set of plugs if they look worn, but mine still looked like new.

I'm sure I've read a more detailed report on what is required for service. A search of the forum should bring it up.
