outboard motor storage bag

Anyone know if there is a storage bag big enough to hold a 3.5 hp mariner OB on the market. It needs to be fairly tough and resitant to petrol spillage and be airtight to stop any fumes or water leaking into car when being transported. Or if there isnt one specifically for this purpose something that can be adapted easily. Come on PBO'ers get to work.

Have a look in the camping centres at the bags designed for wheeled waste containers, approx 3 ft high by 2 ft across, or whatever in metric.

If you look in the latest issue of PBO you will see that someone found the answer for a small outboard.

They bought a golf bag transport bag - it's soft and big at the top.

See May 2006 PBO page 123 Flight Bag for Golf Clubs - cost £15. The guy puts a 2.3hp Honda in one.
