Outboard gearbox oil.

Normal method of filling outboard gear boxes is from the bottom via the drain hole until the oil flows out of the level hole. The squeezy tubes that outboard gear oils are supplied in are designed to facilitate this but the cheapest SAE 90ep oil from a motor spares shop will be a lot cheaper to buy.

Advisable to replace the joint washers on the drain and level plugs. It is said that these are a common source of water ingress

(I fill mine from the top though with a big brass syringe)
