As a crew from very young, I quite liked a buzz in an outboard dinghy. So, if not a prob, get it. Back then , it was a Evenrude 4 twin, so not likely to offend any one.
Oh, actually more likely a Seagull....

If SH are not offering the option (amazing!) the dinghy may not be suitable. Also we find (in 40+ years of flotillas) that the lead boat are often up for doing a bit of taxiing/towing if there is difficulty e.g. because of an unexpected breeze. BTW are you expecting to get as far S as Monemvasia? We made it there last year for only the 2nd time, since 1987. Worth a visit...
Monemvasia is not a good stop as the South harbour has been taken over with local fishermen ,the bottom is covered with ropes and small anchors
I was there last week and there was 11 incidents. The fishermen phone for the police and a diver who can charge you €150 to reset the anchors you may have disturbed.
Also a barge is dredging the outside as they are building a new marina.

Just make sure that even the slightest hint of them using it without the kill cord on results in instant grounding until they reach their twenties (and possibly beyond that).

While I might agree with that in the current scene, I have never had an OB with a kill cord. Just was told, early on, not to be an idiot. The extra safety aspect of the kill switch is useful, esp with bigger engines. Back then, 5hp was about the top.
