First of all different brands take different fittings (common between several as they in reality are rebranded versions of identical engines).
Next the stroke needed to move gear/throttle inside the the engine must be mathed to the cable movement from the remote box.
What make/model is your engine and remote box, respectively?
Move the linkage on the engine to see how far it moves. Gear moves before gas (fully engaged before adding throttle) and vice versa,
Then measure the cable movement from neutral > engage gear > add throttle and back. Same for reverse.
If it matches, go hunt for converting fittings.
Else get a box designed for the engine - either from Honda or Teleflex Morse.
