I have inherited an elderly Avon Redstart inflatable with my new (to me) boat - lovely condition, much too good not to be used, but it needs an outboard bracket. I find that the new price for the four lengths of bent stainless steel tube attached to a piece of wood (neatly done, admittedly) is over £90. Does any one know of a source whose price doesn't seem quite so disproportionate to the value of the dinghy? Or am I just being a tightwad?

Look around at boat jumbles. I picked up a stainless one for about £15. Much better than the non stainless, which swells and doesn't go into the mounting points after it rusts....
