Evening All!! (In my best Policeman voice! )
My boat has a Honda BF10 10hp Outboard that lives in a well and as a result the lower part of the outboard leg is permanently submerged in the water.
The previous owner used to take it off and store it in the cabin after each use which quite frankly was a pain in the backside with a 40+kg Outboard.
Anyway, one thing I overlooked with the motor living in water was the antifoul. I lifted the motor today to see barnacle Bill and his friends stuck all over the lower part of the outboard.
So what's the norm? Should I buy something like Trilux etc and give it a paint like an outdrive leg or something else? It may sound daft but one reason i've not painted anything on is that the motor is only a couple of years old and it seems a shame to paint goo all over the nice silver paint.
I await a forum reprimand
