We are closing in on on a new (to us) boat, just waiting for the fat lady to sing (and that’s not Mrs Bav!).

Just wondering, what was the first thing you bought and the first thing you got rid of when you changed boats...

For our V42 it was AIS TX in, and the name of the old boat out - Pou Pou Pidou...

A Dyson was my first purchase. The table was first to go. It’s a beautiful thing, well made and completely adjustable. But it needs moving every time you want to lift the engine hatch. And it’s heavy, really heavy.

It was a Capri hotel taxi / day tripper boat .
Out went the various swimwear outfits bikinis etc , 16 life jackets ( donated to a Fr sailing school ) inflatable toys .....water toys I hasten to add , along with the dual language IT / Eng sign 40x30 cm laminated over the main heads “ No putting tampons down the toilet “ .
In went a red ensign , bit boring .

All the stuff of the Sunseeker was taken off by the broker and put in a self storage facility near La Napoule as it sold and went within 2 weeks .When I went to Naples to deliver the Itama back to La Nap I had not seen what was removed from the previous boat .

The Italian broker set us up at his end pretty well , new flare pack , some tools , fresh fire extinguishers , mop , bucket , basic cutlery etc .

By the time I transferred all my stuff from the lock up on arrival in la Nap I don’t think I bought anything special Tbo .
My stuff merged with whats was left or came with it .

Out with old electronics, in with the new . Batteries , biminis and crane rams also replaced
