After a year in the water I was pleased to see that all was quite good.

A coating of fine slime but no weed (this is the bits wherethe strops were)

After a pressure wash by the yard

The keel doesn't need much work - must have done it properly last year

The hull anode looks like it did last year so will just get a wire brush

The shaft anode was over half gone - so is doing its job

The only barnacles were on the prop and shaft but much was recent as it washed off or was a live critter when I scraped them off.

Hull, shaft and prop cleaned today. Keel job, polish hull and jollop on and back in for the weekend

/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif A nice sunny week - beats crawling about in the cold.

That was Tiger Xtra. This year I have been tempted by Marinestores booboo on the website which had 5 litres of Flag delivered to my door for £31.90. About half the price of 2.5 litres of Tiger. Time will tell......

Funnily enough, I was about to do a similar post, having just come out after a year. Antifoul is Optima. The bottom foot tends to sit in mud @ LW Titchmarsh.

and the prop is polished, with a smear of lanolin.

After a pressure-wash. Not much left of the prop anodes. The shaft anode is 2 yrs old.

That's probably part of the story. We tend to launch mid-late April, which helps, and were on the move for three months in the summer, which included 2 months in the Baltic and a fresh-water soak passing through the Netherlands on the way home.

3 days hard graft later

Just me working - Hull cleaned and polished, anode changed, prop polished, keel rust spots sorted, two coats of AF, changed the impeller (just in time) and a few other small jobs. I'm knackered but sun-tanned!

Back in on Monday /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
