Hi

I've decided to keep the boat in the water this winter and try and use her more.
So for Christmas through to end of January I've decided to move her to St Katherine's dock, London.

Last Friday, myself and two friends took her from Ipswich round to London. The conditions were fantastic so I thought I'd share some photos with you.

We even managed to get the tides on our side and cruised round at between 25 and 26.5 knots all the way from Harwich to Gravesend without touching the throttles! Whole trip took just under 6 hours.

Regards

Richard

Excellent shots a real flavour of winter as well. No matter what time of year, the journey from the mouth of the Thames into the centre of London past a 1000 years of history in your own boat cannot be equalled by any other journey, esp. with the help of a decent Eberspacher. :) Well done.
Nice to see a boat moving when most owners are anxiously looking at their smartphones remotely checking as if their heaters and dehumidifiers on the boat are working OK.
Do not forget a visit to Il Bordello in Wapping High St.

Thanks for the tip - I just looked at Il Bordello on Trip Advisor and it has some pretty good reviews.
We will give it a try in the new year as we plan to use the boat as a base a for a couple of days whilst we visit the boat show.

I'm actually a member of RCC and was thinking of popping in for few days before taking her back to Ipswich...

Always visit the Wapping restuarant when in St Kats or merely just lurking nearbye ,15 mins from O2..
It is not a candles and stare into your beloved eyes for 6 hours place.
Its a Get in and Get fed hive of conversation type of place.
Not silly money and not part of some synthetic fake themed chain which infest our high streets at the moment. :)
