Hi newbies here again with our Beneteau Antares 30 fly 2010 Yanmar diesel ...500 hours

Our Raymarine chart plotter , depth sounder etc has had it's memory card removed by previous owners so they can keep their stored fishing routes info etc .......

Being in North Cyprus and out the EU how do we go about purchasing a replacement ? our friends have one which they say we can try theirs in to make sure this is the issue as there is a memory card still in the plotter but no charts show up , there are a few chandleries here but primitive and not sure if this is the way forward ?

Again any help appreciated

Yes you need the memory card as it has the charts loaded on to it. Find out the model of your plotter and then google Navionics charts. You will need either a SD or micro SD card.

Here is a link to give you an idea - Navionics Plus SD Card Preloaded with 43XG Mediterranean and Black Sea - 43XG-SD

Any marine electronic shop should be able to help you.

The Raymarine website shows this company as it's agents in Turkish Cyprus -

You say there is a card in the plotter, but no charts show up - you don't say which Raymarine plotter you have, but on my ES9 hybrid touch there are two card slots (micro SD). One slot is for the card with the charts (Navionics in my case), the other is for a back-up of user data such as routes, etc, but without the actual charts, and that may be the card you still have.

Hi and thanks both for your replies , mcanderson your info was most helpful and being in the wilderness of North Cyprus invaluable as our Marina has a pricing structure to make Harrods seem like Poundland !!!

Our plotter is a C90w and we have since sorted the card issue and nav charts part are working fine now , next hiccup is figuring the depth sounder which comes up as part of the auto pilot screen which is separate , small and mounted lower left on console , surely this vital tech would be part of the chart plotter , ie more visible . We inherited loads of installation manuals but very few user guides so reliant on new boaty friends with abundant knowledge as have bent the ears off previous owners to excess !!

What kit do you have ? A typical installation will have a plotter , a depth gauge ( that may display some other things ) and an auto helm head.

You can make depth show on the plotter. Usually in the top panel but it is small and there is no need given depth gague. You can make a large depth display but that will usually mean not displaying the map which rather defeats the object.

Pictures would really help here. If you have a Raymarine plotter then I would guess you have raymarine nav kit.

On the Raymarine website you can download all the old manuals. I would start there.

You will be able to download the user manuals. Most will be free somewhere.

Post some pics of your kit as others may have manuals that can be emailed to you.

How did u resolved the memory card issue?

You can decide what criteria you want in the top line of a c90w.Cant remember how to do it as not on the boat but I'll look it up when I get there which may be a few days ! I have depth on it, also on the repeater upstairs and depth on the s(?)70 in big numbers! as I'm on the east coast !!
