We've just brought our new-to-us Dutch steel cruiser - Celia - up the Trent to her mooring in Nottingham. Pretty nerve-wracking getting her under some of the bridges, but we trusted our measuring and were fine. She was built, we think, in the early 70s, but no-one knows by whom. The survey found no problems, and she has a brand new engine (4 hours), so she's pretty robust. We bought her in Norfolk and had her delivered to Farndon (Doug from Beverly Boat Transport was excellent - and good value, too). Here she is with our old boat for the 'swap' at Farndon:

Holme Lock - the last big river lock before Nottingham:

The interior - very much of its time ... Might need a bit of work here, though it's slowly growing on us (apart from the galley worktop!):

Congratulations, lovely looking boat and quite an upgrade from the previous one :)

Thanks. Certainly a bit of a jump from 24 to 37 feet - but she handles beautifully.

She looks great Matthew. Many congratulations. I hope you have many happy boating years ahead.

Thanks, Rafiki. She's in really nice condition - loads of jobs that could be done, but nothing so urgent that we can't carry on boating!

just changed our galey top used a sheet of shower board same as worktop but lighter they make it with marine ply backing as well looks good
