Had a good day on the boat on Saturday. Managed to get a few bits sorted on the boat in the morning (you know the usual)
Then decided to go for a spin out of the Holy Loch into the main estuary.To give the girl her first high speed fix of the year
But cant even escape from the fuzzies there! Happened to get a bit to close to a Vanguard class sub. As far as the flotilla of police boats and ribs 1 mile is to close!!

They get a bit protective if you get too close John. Is the sub a visitor or part of a residential naval facility?

Faslane is situated on the Gareloch and you are correct, the local plod do become agitated if you seem to be getting too close. Mind you, the wash from one of those boats (not plod, the sub) at speed in the lower Clyde is fearsome.
