Trying to plan for a trip and was hoping to spend the night at Mercator on the 27th May Bank Holiday Monday (UK) and wondered if this would be possible seeing that the festival would be finishing, any ideas?

I shouldn't think so. The boats taking part won't be leaving until after it finishes over the following days.

27th would be cutting it too close.
Festival boats only start leaving that day.
And then marina staff get busy moving permanent berth holders back into their berth.
If there's one day I would not be looking for a berth in the Mercator Marina, Monday 27th May would be it.

There's also www.ryco.be - very friendly place
Or if it doesn't have to be Ostend, there are also Blankenberge and Nieuwpoort.
Blankenberge: VNZ - very relaxed & friendly clubhouse (http://www.vnzblankenberge.be/)
Nieuwpoort: We usually stay at the Air Force Yacht Club. Cheapest of the 3 marinas there. Very efficiently run and giant portions in the club restaurant (www.wsklum.be)
Bit industrial (not a favourite): Zeebrugge
Town (or what passes for it) a bit of a walk. The clubhouse is brand spanking new - food reported to be great (www.rbsc.be)

Sorry the 'mmm' was meant for RYCO, Visited there a while back, all good facilities but too far from anywhere. I have yet to experience RNSYC, thought I might just head for Nieuwpoort, haven't been there yet.
