Osmosis Repair in S. Spain?

Need osmosis treating and as we are hoping to head down to Spain this summer, haven't got time to do it before we go.

Does anyone have any experience of getting osmosis treatment in S. Spain?

Recommendations would be appreciated, thanks.

My boat having not suffered osmosis (yet???), this is not my personal experience, but, I see nearly every year boats being treated for this pest either at the AUDAX premises at the Real Club Nautico Palma de Mallorca, or by Cor@Email2me.net in Palma as well.
Audax has the reputation to be expensive, but to my experience, for different jobs tho, is reliable.

No other relation to both of them than a satisfyed customer.

Kept my boat at Portimao for a while l know they can do it there, but what price l don't know. My boat, a Nic 38 was done in Gibraltar a few years ago and the survey we had done two years ago shows it was well done, sorry don't know which yard in Gib.

When we were in the Junta De Andalucia Marina at Isla Cristina (Near Ayamonte/Portugese Border) in 2004/05, there was a Scandanavian marine engineer based there called Reno (can't remeber his surname). He was definitely osmosis treating a couple of yachts that winter and though we didn't witness the final results; the work which he did for us (and seemingly everyone else) was first class. I believe he may now have re-located his business a few miles west; as he was negotiating to lease his own yard on the Portugese side of the border.

Lagos, Portugal - very good yard, fully equipped, but cannot quote you a price. Portimiao also has a competent yard. You could quite easily spend a season getting down there via the N west coast of Spain, the Galacian Rias etc without rushing down to the Med which increasingly appears to be getting more crowded and expensive.

Have also heard that someone in Almerimar is good. Don't know if anyone has used them?

We are having our boat hull blasted, epoxied and antifouled by Paolo of Paolo Marine in Almerimar as we speak.Have seen other boats around us worked on and all looked fine.3k euros for a 46' trawler yacht did not seem too painfull.Will report on outcome after next trip in a few weeks
