Osmosis on Moodys?

Marine Projects tell me that they've heard of no reported cases of Osmosos on Moodys since they started using isophalic resins in 1986. Has anyone had or heard of any cases? My reason for asking is I'm trying to decide whether or not to epoxy my 3 year old Moody now as a safegard for the future and don't want to waste my time if there's little chance of it occuring over the next ten years or so. Thanks

We bought a Moody 31 in 1995 - it was about 10 years old. During the survey a minor osmosis attack was found and remedied by giving treatment to the whole hull as a part of the purchase deal.

It's a brave guy who says they NEVER have osmosis problems.

Cheers

I think I remember the SP resins web site saying that iso resins could still get osmosis - just less likely. Check the site - my memory is dodgy.

Given the aggro that osmosis treatment generates, I would epoxy coat. Bu then I arrive 2 hours early at the airport to avoid missing my plane!
